Dental Checkups & Cleanings

We recommend that you visit us at least twice a year for routine preventive care. These appointments consist of a thorough oral examination combined with a detailed cleaning of your teeth and gumline. The reasoning here is simple: we can identify and treat hidden issues before they have the chance to worsen, and we can also clean your teeth of the built-up tartar that your toothbrush at home cannot remove. We will also perform an oral cancer screening during each of these visits; although this disease is quite serious, early detection makes treatment a much more realistic possibility.

Children’s Dentistry

Dental health starts at a young age; in fact, it’s just as important to ensure that your child’s smile is as healthy and whole as your own! That’s why our practice will take the necessary time with your little one to ensure that their developing teeth and gums are problem-free and set up for future success. Each visit includes a thorough oral examination, detailed teeth cleaning, and of course, the opportunity for you to ask us about how to better care for your child’s smile at home.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride is found in most dental hygiene products as well as many local water supplies. It can safely assist with the remineralization of tooth enamel, which normally isn’t able to regenerate itself. Following a routine dental checkup, our team can administer a quick, non-invasive fluoride treatment that essentially acts as an additional layer of protection for your teeth, considerably lowering the likelihood of dental decay.

Nightguards for Bruxism

Bruxism is a condition that causes patients to grind their teeth and clench their jaws, often at night while they’re asleep. This can lead to soreness and damaged teeth, as well as issues affecting the TMJ, the joints that connect the jaw to the rest of the skull. Our office can provide you with a special, custom-fitted nightguard that prevents bruxism from causing your teeth to come in contact with each other, curbing any discomfort and ensuring the issue isn’t causing long-term damage.
